SALARY RANGE: $35,000-40,000 FLSA: NON-EXEMPT
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director of the Tutoring and Learning Centers
SCHEDULE DETAILS: Full-time (may require work beyond normal work hours)/12-month position/PEERS
Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant for Academic Resource Center (ARC)t provides essential daily administrative support to staff of the Tutoring and Learning Center (TLC), the Carol Jones Writing Center (CJWC), the Speech and Communication Center (SCC) and the Hamra Library contributing to the overall effectiveness of academic support services at Ozarks Tech.
Essential Job Duties
- Provide administrative support to the Director and Assistant Director of Tutoring Centers and the Director of the Library as needed.
- Monitor and respond to departmental emails.
- Supervise the tutoring areas as needed.
- Assist in staffing and operations of the ARC service desk during peak times or staff absences.
- Review and evaluate incoming part-time and work-study applications.
- Schedule applicant interviews for part-time and work-study tutors and receptionists.
- Manage and monitor budgets related to part-time, Perkins, and Federal Work-Study (FWS) payroll.
- Track and reconcile the departmental budgets for the Tutoring Centers.
- Assist with departmental scheduling.
- Manage incoming and outgoing departmental mail
- Create and maintain accurate records for all full-time, part-time, and FWS employees.
- Review, adjust, and approve Time Clock entries for all part-time and FWS employees.
- Oversee use of the TLC departmental P-card account.
- Order and maintain office supplies and equipment.
- Make conference and travel arrangements.
- Provide technical assistance to students, faculty, and other staff.
- Assist with preparing departmental meeting agendas, records, and distributing staff meeting notes.
- Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality.
- Assist with updating departmental handbooks and policy documents.
- Comply with college policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including attending college functions, serving on committees, and attending. community events.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning, or equivalent.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to use information technology for professional productivity (such as Microsoft Office Suite).
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Two years of experience working within a college tutoring setting.
- Two years of clerical, bookkeeping, customer service, and/or administrative experience.
- Experience working with tutor tracking and scheduling software.
- Experience with Colleague.
- Experience working within a collegiate setting.

Environment: Work is performed primarily in a standard office setting with frequent interruptions and distractions. Requires extended periods of time viewing computer monitor or standing; may require adjustment of schedule to include some evening and/or weekends; may encounter occasional exposure to inclement weather during travel.
Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard.
