Position Summary
Tour Guides help educate visitors about campus life, academic programs, college history, and achievements of the college by conducting campus tours and supporting recruitment and engagement efforts.
Essential Job Duties
- Assist the Director of Student Recruitment in scheduling campus tours for prospective students, families, and other groups.
- Conduct small and large campus tours while providing excellent customer service and answering questions.
- Provide presentations about the college on all tours, including communicating information about all OTC programs and personal testimonies.
- Develop an expanded knowledge of the college to include program information and resources.
- Staff the front desk of Student Affairs, helping to guide students to different areas of campus as needed.
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism at all times.
- Attend Recruitment events as needed.
- Assist with managing LiveChat requests
, and the shared Recruitment inbox.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to work well with others.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to use information technology for professional productivity (such as Microsoft Office Suite).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Is currently an OTC student or has graduated from OTC within the last 12 months.
- Team oriented.
Preferred Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Previous customer service experience.
- Knowledge of the College’s admissions and financial aid process.
- Experience working within a collegiate setting.
